Established in Melbourne, Australia since 2009

 

Created with you in mind.

HUARI started creating affordable luxurious bridal jewellery in 2009, made from 925 sterling silver by artisans, simply because from experience, there were not many available at the time.

We were proudly featured in Melbourne Bride Magazine in 2013 and on the runway of the Melbourne Bridal 2013 Show with great success.

From then, fine jewellery has become more accessible, and there is now a high demand for affordable luxurious every day pieces.

More importantly, we want to create our collection around your tastes and your needs. Because we create our collections in small batches, we can do that.

We love fashion trends because it tells us what you want. But we are more driven by longevity. We want our pieces to be durable and long lasting.

We want them to work into your growing jewellery collection that shows everyone who you are and that one day you will be proud to pass down.

My family and I have a long-standing love affair with jewellery.

Jewellery to us is a part of life.

My mother and her friends were forever adding fine jewellery to their collection, searching for perfection and beauty in each of the pieces. To us, jewellery last forever. They are gifted on special occasions and exchanged amongst friends and family. It is something to be shared and cherished together.

If you gifted me jewellery, it felt to me like I was important to you and that you knew me. You took the time to give me something that will remind me of you and that will last forever.

I remember my mother taking out her jewellery boxes now and then. Our hearts would swell with happiness as we pass the beautiful treasures around as she retold the well-known tales behind each piece.

Looking back, I realised how much I wanted such a collection. It would be a lifelong goal to build my own splendid one.

Now, the pieces in my collection are not all made of gold and diamonds. Some are trinkets that my friends made for me, while others were fashion jewellery that I collected in my travels.

I am sure you are the same.

Over time, I have realised that more and more, there are fewer pieces in the world that I want to buy but that I want to create. There are also pieces that are luxurious that I also want to make accessible to everyone.

This is how Huari was born in 2009 and I guess even earlier if you can imagine two sisters huddled over brass wires and cutters, learning how to make jewellery at our local beads store.

Our ethos remain the same.

We curate and handcraft beautiful things that make our hearts swell with happiness and pride.
